Is the larger/st Truth? Is anything really random or do things really happen for a reason? Is it destiny or free will? Is The Wizard of God pulling the levers behind the curtain keeping us all in suspense while we trip over the Yellow Brick Toad?

I'm intentionally random but my text parallels reality.

Our televisions want our souls. Step into the light Caroline.

I've seen through the illusions and I found myself as a child pretending I was living in the Fellowship of the Ring. Why do I keep reading?

So it took me a few years but I've been slowly breathing life back into nailpolishpress.org. If ya want a break from the norm, have a peek.

Also, for those who need a direct link, visit Google Group I've been melodram'ing at.

That's all for now. Not sure how much will be going on here over the next few ___.

Ya.. This is yet another scribbling that I've been too busy to write much here. But honestly, my online screw off days are few and far between at present. The one thing that was nice about MS was that I had time to poke the web as much as I wanted. New job doesn't afford me that luxury.. Plus it's Christmas time. And we moved. Again. 4th place in the last year. Bah.......

Anybody with my number -- feel free to ring me on Saturday.

Thunderbird 2 RC1 kicks ass. Blows the ass outta Outlook IMHO.

Google needs to make it's web apps more compatible with Konqueror and Opera. I grow weary of firing up Firefox on the OpenBSD box.

glibly inspired me to post. Check out his words.

Man accused of spray-painting 3 goats

MAHOPAC, N.Y. (Associated Press) - A man broke into a barn on Thanksgiving morning, spray-painted three pet goats and scattered pages of pornographic magazines on the floor, apparently to harass the property owner, police said Tuesday.

Drew Gagnon, 37, of Mahopac, was arrested the next day and was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and animal cruelty, said Lt. Brian Karst, of the Carmel police force, which covers Mahopac. The man who drove Gagnon to the barn, Douglas Bisio, 34, of Mahopac, was charged with criminal facilitation, police said.

Half a Foot of Snow on Moving Day

...

on 30/Nov/2006 at 10:04:17pm

So we were planning on moving again as noted over on the Scribbles but as fate would goddamn have it, we're supposed to get between 4-6 inches of fucking snow tomorrow. Dumbass fucking weather. Seriously.... My brother and I drove 2500+ miles and had nothing but blue skies. We took the girls down to see the family over Thanksgiving Weekend while putting another 500 miles and not a lick of ANYTHING. Yesterday I had a light spring jacket on. Today it's below freezing.

If U-Haul was open tonight, I'd have gotten one and packed our shit up before Blizzard 2006 hit us. Crap, we'll be lucky to get our asses outta the parking spot tomorrow.

In other news... Windows Desktop Search blows the ass outta Google's. If ya got both, try this simple test: search for calculator. GDS can seem to find any web page I've visited in the last 2 years even remotely related to calculations but doesn't know about the little app bundled with Windows. It's goddamn desktop search so search my fucking computer already. Google's great for Webby 2.0 but I am less and less excited about their binaries. Can't even skin the little uglies.

Ok. Enough venting for now. I have many stories to tell since my last postcard but I'll leave those for another time. I've got another Sam Adams to polish off.

Lemme start by saying...I'm outside looking in....

As I was perched on the edge of the couch this past Tuesday night counting down the seats needed...I was giddy with anticipation. Again when I tuned in Weds morning to check out the final senate battle I was holding my breath. Finally....the end of Republican domination!

"Goodbye all you fat lazy self-absorbed glory hogs." I thought. Yeah people! "Make way for the new...fat lazy self-absorbed glory...." Take the red pigs and paint 'em blue. It's only been six days and my self induced "Thank Christ it's over" buzz has already become a Democratic hangover.

Face it, they all wear the same suits. Every one of 'em has a six foot poll rammed up their butt to stop them from slouching on camera. Red or blue, Republican or Democrat, they're paid too much and can't keep a promise worth a damn. Slide the whole lot of 'em...yes you too George, off the hill into a giant meat grinder and give the handle a few good spins. I'd like a big fat juicy democracy burger made with a mix of ideologies please. Hopefully all that rancid filler won't send me racing for the toilet.

U.S. casino magnate gives Picasso's dream the elbow

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Picasso's famed "Dream" painting turned into a nightmare for Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn when he accidentally gave the multimillion dollar canvas an elbow.

Wynn had just finalized a $139 million sale to another collector of his painting, called "Le Reve" (The Dream), when he poked a finger-sized hole in the artwork while showing it to friends at his Las Vegas office a couple of weeks ago.

Approval of Republicans at record low: poll

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With congressional elections less than three weeks away, the Republican party's approval ratings are at an all-time low, with approval of the Republican-led Congress at its lowest point in 14 years, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday.

Forty-seven percent of respondents said they were less in favor of keeping Republicans in control of Congress, compared to 14 percent who were more in favor of maintaining the current congressional makeup, according to the poll.
